Issue Position

Our veterans are the backbone of our country and our state. These are the people who fought and died making this country and its citizens free. I will fight any legislation taking anything away from our veterans.

I do not believe in gun control. I believe that the thousands of gun control laws on the books now don't stop a criminal from getting a gun. I believe in the second amendment and our rights as citizens to protect our families and our own lives from scavengers and thugs. I believe that a law abiding citizen should be free to carry any firearm they believe they need to protect themselves, without licenses or paperwork. I will fight any legislation for more gun control and will fight to repeal the restrictive laws we have in place now.

I believe that a job is a better way of showing we care for each other rather than just giving money to someone. I believe in a helping hand and not a hand out. Our state has over 163,000 people unemployed right now. We have over 364,000 people on food stamps. I will vote for any legislation that brings jobs back into this state to put constituents back to work but I will fight legislation that creates more of a "nanny" state.

I believe that the state and federal government have messed up our markets for far too long. The less government involvement, the more the free market can restore our financial and housing market. I will not vote for any legislation that puts more government involvement into our lives.

I don't believe more taxes will solve our problems in our schools. We need more education for our money, not more money for education. We need better accountability with the money we entrust the school district. Not only does the CCSD get most of the school budget, they use it frivolously. I don't believe giving more money to CCSD gets our schools out of the cellar nationwide. All that does is make top officials richer and makes our teachers poorer. We need to give better incentives to make our teachers better teachers, we need to get more parents involved in their children's education, and to give them more options to decide which school better prepares their children for the future. I will not vote for higher taxes or more money for our school districts.

I do believe that by incentivizing business we will attract more diverse businesses and Nevada won't be know as a one industry state. More business means more jobs. More jobs means people have the means to pay for their homes. More people paying for their homes means banks have the money to lend. money to lend means more new home requests. More people working means more money for schools. penalizing businesses with more taxes just puts us back in the status quo. That is what the two major parties want, status quo.

I encourage all constituents in my district to contact me if they have further questions. We need to take back our state and discourage federal government involvement in our affairs. "Nothing will change until principal trumps party". Please consider the Independent American Party.
